1.  White Chuck Taylor Sneakers - available here.
There's something I love about a basic pair of Converse. I think they're a lit of a staple in the sense that I wore hot pink high tops when I was a little girl, and now I'm lusting over another pair ten years later! The white version are classic. I like to dress mine down with rolled up jeans and a simple knit.

2. Moss Green Hunter Gumboots - available here.
I've wanted a pair of these a long, long time. I haven't bought a pair yet because everytime I log onto Shopbop and place them in my cart, a little voice inside my head questions the practicality of them. I've since decided that they will come in handy, especially after Melbourne's 'rainy' day yesterday. I figure they can be worn both in the rain, and as a casual winter boot.

3. ASOS Love Popcorn Stripe Jumper - available here.
What a fun name right? This sweater combines my two favourite things: pastels and stripes. I am in desperate need of knits that can be dressed up with high, black boots and a coat, or dressed down with jeans and the aforementioned sneakers. This one seems to tick all the boxes. It comes in pink as well. Run for it!

4. Balenciago Velo in Black - available here.

New Toy

Those who follow me on Twitter (and those who don't - get on it! @sarahyarwood) would know that I have been lusting over the Canon EOS 1100D camera for about three months now. I'm not much of a photographer, but when I saw this post on Cupcakes and Cashmere - my go to place when I'm in need of inspriation - I felt determined to get better at it. I'm headed off to Turkey in September for a school trip, so figured I would need a state of the art camera to take with me the memories from this beautiful place. Here are a few pictures that I've taken so far...

LuLuLove

Welcome back to Blink and You'll Miss it 59th and Lexington! I decided that this page needed a facelift. Stat. So, Blink and You'll Miss it was put away for later, and 59th and Lexington was born. This intersection in NYC is one of my favourite places to go shopping, so it kind of suited the rebirth of my fashion blog.

Exercising is hard. Some people (who knows how) love it, crave it, and, dare I say it, enjoy it. I am definitely not one of those people. For me, exercising is the worst of all the chores on my to-do list. But, unfortunately, some of my biggest goals in life, losing weight and eating great food, contradict each other. Exercise is the only way this can happen. Two years ago I completed a stint in country Victoria with my school. A kind of boarding school in the bush, if you will. One of the components of this year away was a guaranteed increase in fitness (as we completed two runs each week). At the end of 2010, I ran from the base of Mt. Stirling, all the way up, all the way down, and then all the way up Mt. Buller. And I ran the whole way. The whole way. When I got home I convinced myself that I would not loose my fitness and let this hard work go un recognised. Well...I kind of did. Running in Melbourne is hard. It's not like the bush, people actually see you. As much as I try and convince myself that people will not care, my puffed little waddle is not an attractive sight. So, I was in a pickle. Until I discovered one thing that would attract me to running: the attire.

Lululemon Athletica is a clothing store that was initially established in Canada, but has since circulated all around the world. It's been around for a while, but now, it's as if Lulu is the only exercise brand that you should be sporting (pardon the pun -haha!) They create clothes suitable for all types of exercise, but specialise in fabulous yoga clothes. They use fabulous materials such as luon, luxtreme and tech fleece, which are made from the mixing of fabrics that we all known.

Lululemon is currently all I can think about. It's a little on the pricier side, but I must say it's worth it. The quality is fantastic, flattering and really comfortable. And plus, you look so cool whilst wearing it. If this doesn't sell it to you, check out their outlet store here.

In the mean time, here are a couple of things that I am lusting over:

Run: Tame Me Tank in 'flash.'

Run: Excel Crop in 'black/Paris pink'

Run: Stuff Your Bra in 'coral/flash'

Awards Season 2012

Where do I even begin? Where have I been for the last three months? Well, Year 11 happened, and I kind of floated into abyss. I vowed that I would blog about every awards show this year, I am now seven shows behind. So, instead of sharing with you each of the fashion highs and lows for each of the shows, perhaps you could take to E News of Fashions as I plan to only show you my number one absolute favourite looks of the awards season.

She kind of floated into abyss last year. Much like me. But, I think it's safe to say that she's back. This chiffon gown is definitely a risk, in a very unconventional way, but I think it worked. I really love how she has made headbands cool again. It was a popular choice on the carpet, with Michelle Williams also sporting it. The ruffled skirt reminds me of Eva Mendez at the Golden Globes in 2009, which, I think I obsessed over equally. It's exciting an different, but not crazy or over the top. And, unlike Angelina Jolie's bizarre...stance (is that what you would call it?) at the Oscars, Charlize makes showing a little leg look classy.  It's Dior Couture. Enough said right?
